Mr. Garry Albert, CEO of Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) said “The refurbishment work of the international concourse is progressing well and we are on track for completion by the end of July 2022. As the upgrades are being done in a live environment, we are working closely with the contractor to ensure that we are able to minimalize impact on airport operations and inconvenience to the travelling public”.

CEO Albert continued “This project will provide better comfort for our airport users, as we have seen at the domestic terminal”. “Whilst the project links up with the SCAA’s short term plans to tackle immediate infrastructure needs of the airport, we are in parallel continuing discussions for longer term airport development plans”

Minister Antony Derjacques concluded stating “With the Ministry of Transport being the parent Ministry of the Seychelles International Airport, it is vital to ensure that we are continuously working towards building a first class airport, one that the people of Seychelles can truly be proud of. After 50 years of existence, the airport just might get a new face, a new life; we are certainly moving in the right direction. The Ministry works closely with SCAA to support such projects, and we can assure you that this is just one of many projects to come.’’
